Maui, The Day After

Despite my many protests, I had to board the plane and come home--home to the bills, house projects, yard work and laundry.  After 14 days of sunning, swimming, reading, hiking, visiting and more swimming, it's pretty hard to adjust back to real living.  Our vacation was perfect--except for one missing element--that being our daughter, Nizi, who stayed home and took responsibility for all of Abel's animals!

We were perfectly spoiled by grandpa John and grandma Dori, who shared their beautiful new condo, pool and delicious cooking with us.  What a treat to finally share of bit of their new life on Maui.

View from the clubhouse.  It doesn't get much better than this!

Our new favorite Maui beach, Honolua Bay
where the snorkleing was magnificent!

We stayed at a little house in Hana for two nights,
and enjoyed this beautiful view out the back door

We hiked up the Waimea Waterfall trail,
and through the bamboo forest
